| Function | Examine the procedures used by the State to protect an individual against the unauthorized disclosure of his or her social security number when the State requires the individual to provide his or her social security number to an officer or agency of the State. The Task Force shall report its findings and recommendations to the Governor, the Attorney General, the Secretary of State, and the General Assembly no later than Dec. 31 of each year. Task Force shall explore the technical and procedural changes that are necessary in order to implement a unique id number system to replace the use of social security numbers by State and local government agencies for identification and record-keeping purposes. |
