The Committee conducts hearings on charges against state certified real estate appraisers for violations of Real Estate License Act; recommends rules and procedures to be followed by appraisers, standards of professional conduct, and continuing education requirements. |

11 members (10 appointed by Governor): - 4 certified general real estate appraisers (actively engaged and licensed for at least 5 years) - 2 certified residential real estate appraisers (actively engaged and licensed for at least 5 years) - 2 licensed as both real estate brokers and appraisers (must have been licensed for at least 10 years and 5 years, One general and one residential respectively) - 1 representative (employee) of a financial institution - 1 member of general public (neither member nor spouse may be licensed under this Act nor have any interest in or be employed by an appraisal business, real estate brokerage business or financial institution) |
