The Commission develops, reviews, and approves the state's juvenile justice plan for federal funds; determines spending priorities and ensures compliance with federal laws and regulations; advises Departmen of Human Services on juvenile justice and delinquency prevention programs and services. |

| Qualifications | (5) of the members shall be under the age of 24 at the time of appointment; 3 of the 5 youth shall have been or shall currently be under jurisdiction of the juvenile justice system; Majority of the members, including Chairperson, shall not be full-time employees of the Federal, State, or local government or full-time elected officials; Membership shall be racially diverse and include both men and women. |
